TOUR DESCRIPTION

Brisbane, Australia’s Sunshine Capital with its ‘laid back’ lifestyle is also quoted as being Australia’s most liveable city. Your Driver/Guide will take you to the “must see” sites as well as behind the scenes of this beautiful city and leafy suburban areas. Learn some of our Convict history and see the original Queensland Parliament House and Brisbane Mansions built in colonial times.

The morning is spent at Lone Pine Sanctuary where you can “Hold a Koala” (photo included) handfeed the kangaroos and see many other birds and animals of Australia’s unique wildlife.

Visit Mt. Cootha Lookout for spectacular views of Brisbane City and Moreton Bay followed by an a la carte lunch at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens Restaurant set amid the lush tropical gardens and ponds abounding in birdlife.

Our visit to the more exclusive districts of the city show wonderful examples of the unique “Queenslander” style homes, set high on stilts, with wide verandahs and leafy subtropical gardens. At historic Newstead House we visit the Memorial dedicated to the many US servicemen and women who served in Brisbane during WW11.

Our final stop is Brisbane’s most popular attraction; Southbank Parklands, with its gardens, unique inner city beach and boardwalks where you’ll enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea or coffee by the river.
